Witness the next total solar eclipse

Spain or Iceland
Aug 12, 2026

This trip is your chance to see a total solar eclipse, quite possibly one of the most incredible natural phenomena you'll ever witness.

In addition to experiencing this spectacle, we'll also travel around some pretty rad sights in either Spain or Iceland.

I'll organize and book everything for you. Plus, I want to help you get some unforgettable shots and upgrade your photography skills.

It's a phenomena that only happens once every few years. Some people go their entire lives without seeing one.

What is a total solar eclipse?

A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the earth, casting a shadow on the surface.

In a total eclipse, the entire disc of the sun is covered, revealing the corona and solar prominences. It also gets dark enough to see stars and confuse wildlife.

What Will We Do?

My top priority is to help you see the solar eclipse. I also want to help you to discover the best parts of the country.

During the day, I'll show you around either on foot or in the car. We'll be enjoying the landscape and culture. I'll also help folks with their photos - settings, composition, scouting, planning for editing, and more.

Of course, if you'd rather explore on your own, feel free!

The eclipse isn't guaranteed

Clouds might get in the way. I'll do everything I can to get us in position, but sometimes, the weather doesn't cooperate. Luckily, both Spain and Iceland are gorgeous countries.

How big will the group be?

I will announce the size of the group, but expect 5-8 people.

How will we get around?

Iā€™m renting a van (depending on how many people come). It's big enough to hold all our stuff and ourselves. In the cities, we may be using public transit.

How strenuous is the trip?

Depending on what the group has an appetite for and the parking situation for the eclipse, we could be doing a fair bit of walking. Expect up to 10 miles a day over fairly level terrain, at most.

What will the weather be like?

Summer in Europe during August can be sweltering, so expect Mediterranean weather. Iceland is milder, typically in the high 50s or low 60s.

Do I have to have a nice camera or be a good photographer?

All skill levels and cameras are welcome, whether that's a smart phone or DSLR.

Can I get a room to myself?

If you'd like a single room, let me know.

Can I book my own flight?

Yes! If you'd like to book your own flights or find your own way to our location, you can do that yourself. I will give you a time that you need to arrive by, and you are responsible for getting there by that time. If you are late and the group needs to head out, I won't be able to refund your trip.

What happens if you need to cancel?

If you I will be asking everyone to pay in full when you commit to the trip. If you decide to cancel, I may not be able to refund the cost of your trip unless I fill your seat with another person.
