Mallory Square looks out over the aptly named Sunset Key and draws a crowd from all walks of life to watch one of life's simplest pleasures - a sunset.
They happen every day, but with the ocean stretching all the way to the western horizon, fair weather most days, and a crowd of folks ready to slow down and relax, this simple pleasure becomes the highlight of your time in Key West.
It should be a lesson. We all need to carve out the fifteen minutes at home during our normal lives to take in this daily miracle. There's nothing stopping us. And even if you live in a place that's notorious for its cloud cover, there are still many, many opportunities to see a sunset.
And yet, we don't. It's treated like a luxury - an indulgence to enjoy when we're on vacation. "Amber Ocean" is an attempt to fight back against that instinct. We should take more chances in our everyday lives to experience nature's beauty. It doesn't need to be something we travel across the country to the southernmost spot in the continental U.S. to witness.

What's great about open editions, you ask?
Open editions highlight some of the amazing places I've been lucky enough to experience. They're perfect for collecting on a budget.
Open editions can be bought by anyone who is interested. You also might find them on a puzzle.
If you're interested in something a little more rare, have a look at my limited editions. Unlike open editions, a limited number of prints will be made, and then no one can buy them again.
