Every morning, the ocean awakens, its waves lap against the shore. The horizon stretches to infinity, a seamless blend of sky and sea painted in shifting hues of blue. It's a sight that never fails to inspire calm contemplation.
It's simultaneously a stark landscape and one teeming with life just beneath the surface. For a biosphere that contains one thing, salt water, the diversity of creatures and plants is like nowhere on earth. It's forces are planetary. The tide are imperceptible until they aren't. The weight of the water can't be felt until you are in the waves.
Whenever sky meets water, and clouds dot the horizon, you can't help but feel content. There's something about the ocean that calls to you and calms you.
This photo was taken on the way to Dry Tortugas, one of our nation's most unique national parks. It sits 3.5 hours off of Key West in the Gulf of Mexico. If you ride on the bow you can gaze at the passing clouds and waves, feeling the breeze in your hair and on your face. Every now and then, you'll spot a sea turtle under the waves as it zips by, or catch the glimmer of a flying fish skittering across the surface of the waves.

What's great about open editions, you ask?
Open editions highlight some of the amazing places I've been lucky enough to experience. They're perfect for collecting on a budget.
Open editions can be bought by anyone who is interested. You also might find them on a puzzle.
If you're interested in something a little more rare, have a look at my limited editions. Unlike open editions, a limited number of prints will be made, and then no one can buy them again.
